Bu yer hakkında HHE Express Hotel

HHE Express is a mainstream hotel on Aqqusinersuaq, the main street through central Nuuk. As the name suggests, it is the simpler, lower-cost sister of the Hotel Hans Egede group. It is gay-friendly in the ordinary sense and is not an LGBTQ+ venue. Google reviewers give it 4.1 from about 140 reviews. Nuuk is small, and from here most of the centre, including shops, cafes and the cultural centre Katuaq, is within walking distance. Rooms in Nuuk are limited and expensive, so book early for summer.

The hotel is quite new, clean, and the staff are helpful and polite. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected from this type of express hotel. The bed is quite large considering the size of the room, though. The view from the window is certainly... interesting.

What is this, a hotel for ants?! While check-in was very smooth and the location is fantastic - right in town and close to many restaurants - the hotel leaves some things to be desired. It’s almost as if the architect said, “Let’s figure out how to make each room as small as possible.” While the rooms were very clean, there was no egress from one side of the bed in a queen bedroom for two people. The bathroom was fine, about the size of a first class airplane bathroom, and the water from the shower smelled like it had been pumped in directly from the ocean - eau de halibut. A fine stay if you have to be here for one night, there was a decent breakfast, but there are many other options a short walk away which offer a significantly larger 3-room apartment-style accommodation (some with washer/dryer) at a much cheaper price point.

Convenient hotel 🏨 Just a 10-minute walk from the city center very convenient. Perfect for a layover in Nuuk, allowing me to explore the city. Airport shuttle service is also available for an extra fee. The rooms are small but clean and tidy. There's a cemetery right across the street. I was a little scared when I booked it, but it wasn't scary at all. The cemetery is clean, tidy, and solemn, and didn't affect my stay.

quite nice but a polar bear smashed my window and had to get my leg amputated.

Stayed here one night. It was relatively affordable and not a bad hotel but nothing to write home about. The lobby and hallways at this hotel were modern but the rooms and bathroom were extremely small. No closet. Having two people in the bed requires one person to jump over the other as there’s only side access with the bed pushed into the corner. All of this was generally fine. The real issues were (a) the towels and sheets were all dirty and it was kind of gross. One had stains. Another two had multiple hairs. (b) If you arrive before check in (which is 3 pm) the hotel sends you to a storage room in the basement, but you’re required to pay for a locker (or lockers) to store it. It felt like a hostel that way and was extremely weird. (c) the hotel was very noisy at night and one of the main views is of a cemetery. (d) breakfast was very basic. On the bright side there’s a great Thai massage in the same parking lot and it is centrally located (even for a city that’s pretty small). This was not a bad hotel but you should know what you’re getting yourself into.

Update 5/25/26: we're back from our cruise and in About this This is different. This is retained and this is refresh. You don't think it's because it's bad you know I think comes like that. You sure that but if you're having any doubts, do this one routine MGT it looks like it was a a sample right expires one of 27 so it's gonna be OK so this side gets the sun that's the problem. room 3017. DO NOT ACCEPT THIS ROOM! Despite the outside temps in the 40s it feels like the 80s inside. No a/c but it seems like most hotels don't have it. Hotel provided an inadequate fan so brought a second one that seems to help some. But having to have two fans in this tiny room is ridiculous. We keep the tiny window open 24/7 so hear all the traffic overnight. I'm thinking all the rooms along this wall, which would be 303 to 319 would have the same problem since the two rooms we were in sure did. When I first opened the door to our room I was going to immediately close it and find another hotel. The room was maybe 8' X 10' plus a tiny bathroom and shower. BUT on further inspection it was amazingly efficient with adequate electrical plugs, USB ports, desk and fold-down luggage rack. Great shower. Comfortable Queen bed, duvet and pillows. Free breakfast until 9am. Brilliant design! We'll be back in two weeks after our cruise!
