Castle Hotel is a traditional Georgian townhouse hotel in north central Dublin, a minute from the Garden of Remembrance and two minutes from the Gate Theatre. It's a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly. Rooms are simple, with tea and coffee, TV and Wi-Fi, and a full Irish breakfast is included. There's a lift, paid parking, a casual restaurant, and a bar in a converted 19th-century stone wine vault. O'Connell Street is a short walk away. Dublin's gay bars, around George's Street and Capel Street, are 10-15 minutes on foot.

Great position but the place is a bit dated which meant we could clearly hear the noise from next door and above us. Again we had to ask for the heating to be turned on as even though it is apparently Summer, it is absolutely freezing especially for Queenslanders from Australia. The staff were amazing and very accomodating and the in house entertainment breathtaking.

The single room was quite small, but okay. The location is pretty good; you can quickly reach the famous shopping streets and Temple Bar. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is very good. The hotel closes when it's quiet, which is sometimes quite early.

A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff in a nice central location. Good food in the on site restaurants and the nightly live music was most enjoyable.
