Magna Bistrò Italiano

I had the carbonara here once in February, and it was incredible. I actually came back to Trieste in June looking forward to having it again. Unfortunately, the June visit was disappointing because of the service. A young member of the staff was quite rude and told us they weren’t accepting any more guests after 14:30, even though it was around 14:20 and the kitchen was closing at 15:00. I understand that restaurants in Italy make a kitchen-closing break and I have no issue with that. What bothered me was the attitude - we just greeted her and asked for a table, she side-eyed us and talked to us in a resentful way, we felt unwelcome, and were really upset because it was the only thing for which we decided to stop in Trieste during our journey and nothing was listed anywhere about not accepting guests after that certain hour. I have to admit, service for my first time was excellent and I was recommending this place to every one of my friends coming to Trieste and it’s a shame because the food is excellent, but that interaction and finally not being able to have it again left a very different impression.

A very warm welcome, delicious and filling fresh pasta dishes. Highly recommended.

Wonderful food, staff couldn’t be more helpful/friendly. Highly recommend.

I went to this restaurant to eat and it was exactly what I expected. I ate and I liked it. The waiter came and asked us about various things, especially what we wanted with our food. So we ordered and they brought it. I gave them some euros for that. Then I left. If I have the time, I will come again. But not because I never want to go anywhere again.

Excellent restaurant in a beautiful city (Trieste) with very good service and nice atmosphere inside the shop.... It deserves our attention!!

Excellent service, they were very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent service, and a fantastic wine list! I absolutely recommend stopping by! Ask for Luca, Benita, or Kevin! They're the history and heart of the restaurant. Thank you so much for everything!

Delicious food at a fair price and good service.

Everything was perfect. The service was very nice☺️

We dropped in completely by chance, but wow, what great food. And service was also so friendly... my broken italian accepted without making fun of me, lol.

Fantastic restaurant! The food and service are excellent! (Plus, the waitress speaks very good French 😁)
