Bu yer hakkında CasArcobaleno

CasArcobaleno is Turin's "rainbow house", the city's main LGBTQIA+ community hub, in the Aurora district near Porta Palazzo and the Balôn flea market. Launched in 2014 on the initiative of Arcigay Torino "Ottavio Mai", it provides shared space for a wide range of LGBTQIA+ associations, support groups and public services under one roof. It is a welcoming first point of contact for community life, activism and events in the city.

This is my second time at Casa Arcobaleno, and I have to say I was ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED by the organization, by the lack of hospitality toward someone who, like me, is unfamiliar with the environment. They come in and find themselves in a private room where the first thing they ask is "Do you have a membership card?" I understand there's a significant influx of people, but if someone outside the circle shows up, a bit of hospitality would be helpful, because staying in your own bubble doesn't help you proselytize or grow a community. Good luck, Eco Chamber.

As a transgender person who's new to the city, I wanted to try this place. To get in, you have to pay a membership fee, strictly in cash, and that's fine. But I found it to be one of the least welcoming places I've ever been. After paying the fee, no one welcomes you or speaks to you. If I'd been at the Fratelli d'Italia headquarters, they would have treated me better... It's a place for people who already know each other, and they've essentially turned a place that should welcome new people into a private club. It's a real shame considering this is the only LGBTQ+ center in the city. If someone who already has trouble socializing after being here is going to commit suicide... I really hope it can improve and become a welcoming place, not an exclusive club for those already in the loop.

Beautiful safe space that does political and social events regularly. During a party, the drinks are very affordable, the music is nice, and the vibe is comfortable and safe.
