AMI Hotel

The hotel is close to the city centre and is located on top of a hill. (The view from the hill top is nice but there is a long flight of stairs between the hotel and the city centre. The stairs can be slippery during snowy weather.) The hotel is supposed to send the entry code and room code to my email on the day of check-in, but for unknown reasons I didn't receive it. (I made the booking through Agoda so the codes might be sent to Agoda's email instead.) Fortunately I arrived at 6pm, the pickup time for the northern lights tour organised by the hotel, and the tour guide (a staff from the hotel) opened the door for me and retrieved the room code for me. My room is clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is like a cosy family house, with a cosy common area and kitchen on the ground floor. Room rate is competitive, compared to other hotels in the city.

If I could give 20 stars to everything, I would: the facility is very well managed; the lobby and shared kitchen were a lifesaver during my trip!

We came at late evening without reservation(we was in critical situation due to we missed our boat to our hotel in another city), and we didn't meet any problems with our visit. Staff is respectfull and fluent in english. Rooms is very cozy and comfortable. Remembering this evening in hotel will heat my mental forever. Strongfull 10/10.

Amazing experience, family-friendly hotel steps from the center. I've never felt so well treated as at this hotel. It's incredibly warm and friendly. Every other hotel charges you for everything, even the air you breathe, but here you have the convenience of free drinks, free laundry facilities, and a fully equipped kitchen to cook whatever you want. Everything is spotless, and the staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help! 10 out of 10, I'll be back!

I think 1200 for a single room is cheap. No breakfast but private bathroom.

So so nice. The coffee machine is next level. Also the humans. Nice humans.

All is amazing about this place - lovely room, huge kitchen accessible for all visitors and free hot drinks. The staff are lovely and the location is perfect, only a couple of minutes walk to the centre of Tromsø.

We stayed here one night as a convenient spot for the excellent Arctic Circle tours northern lights tour. Great value for money and comfortable stay. Very quiet and beds small but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Room was spotlessly clean. Nice views from 2nd floor. I would stay again

The room was reasonably spacious, with a desk and refrigerator. The toilet and shower were shared, so it was easy to splash water everywhere while showering. The shared kitchen was large, and the lounge area was also quite spacious. The only downsides were the lack of an elevator, making it difficult to carry large luggage upstairs, and the limited parking spaces (only three, which required prior application).

Cheap. Parking permit was ready in the room. Good.
