Rolfs Kök

Good food and great service! do try out their ox cheeks as it is oh so tender!

It is probably a pretty popular place in Stockholm and it is quite busy, we had made a reservation in advance, I recommend it for those who want to visit. The dishes were delicious, beautifully arranged and served appropriately for the occasion, but I had slightly higher expectations.

We were a party of five dining at Rolfs Kök, attracted by its Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction, and we left thoroughly impressed. The French influence is evident throughout the menu. The escargots were outstanding, as was the onion tart, which was beautifully executed. We also shared the prawns as a starter, and they were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. For the main course, we tried the Tuna and the Ox, both of which were excellent. The sauces deserve a special mention, as they elevated both dishes even further. We shared the truffle chocolate dessert, which was good but not quite as memorable as the rest of the meal. The wine list is extensive, although the prices are high by Spanish standards. That said, this is perfectly normal in Stockholm. The restaurant has a stylish, relaxed atmosphere, and the open kitchen adds to the overall dining experience. The only downside was our waitress, who was highly efficient but equally unfriendly. One small detail that could be improved: after dessert we ordered a Calvados, and it arrived already poured into our glasses. It would have been a much nicer touch to bring the bottle to the table and serve it in front of the guests. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. Congratulations to the chefs!

The tartare was good but a bit too much parsley, took over a bit too much. The ox cheek was quite good and if you like truffles you will like the mash. My partner had Crudo on sea bass, it was okay. The tuna steak was good, a bit too much sauce that took over the whole thing. The staff was a big plus and very nice!
