Duke's Mound (The Bushes)

Duke's Mound, known locally as 'The Bushes', is a long-standing outdoor gay cruising area on the wooded slopes above the naturist beach, east of the Palace Pier off Madeira Drive. It has been one of the UK's best-known cruising grounds for decades and sits directly beside Brighton's designated naturist beach. It is a public open space; usual outdoor-cruising discretion and personal-safety precautions apply, and activity is busiest in the warmer months.
