Exactly what it says on the tin – music, movement, connection.Join us for an afternoon of grooving: an Open Jam for anyone who wants to move, meet people, share , groove or simply soak up the vibes. An opportunity to move outside the studio, away from competitions – a welcoming space for play, creativity, self-expression, and community.Peace, Love, Unity and Have Fun. Expect:Live Local DJs. The idea: This isn’t a new concept - hoping to bringing back the social, collaborative, energy that makes the dance scene thrive. Facilitated by Dorine Mugisha, in collaboration with The Dive Bar who over the years have been supporting with our other events such as Body Movement Weekender and Whacking Weekender, and in collaboration with various collectives and individuals.The vision: To create a recurring home for dancers to jam. to make this a sustainable, co-hosted series with different collectives, connecting movers with DJs, space to chat, share a meal, and go from there. 💡 Accessibility note: The Dive Bar is located downstairs at The Locale and there are a substantial number of stairs – unfortunately, it’s not currently wheelchair accessible.For who: For all.
