Woodhouse Moor / Hyde Park

Woodhouse Moor, the large public park about a mile north of Leeds city centre in the Hyde Park/LS6 student district, has a long-standing reputation as an outdoor gay cruising spot, with activity concentrated in the wooded Woodhouse Ridge area and busiest after dark in the warmer months. By day it is an ordinary, busy park used by students, families and joggers, so discretion after dark is essential. The UK offers strong legal protections for LGBTQ+ people, but public-sex laws still apply and ordinary nighttime caution is advised.
