Hotel "San Lorenzo Design"

All the good reviews are true and so are the bad ones, nonetheless I had a great experience.

Really impressed with the hotel. A lovely sized family room - spotless and airy . The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great to have a kettle too ! Only addition that would be nice would be a hairdryer. Ideal locality for Waterloo Station, and the Old Vic. Great price too for the location. Good choice of breakfast and choice of later checkouts.

I've stayed here several times for work. Staff are always friendly and helpful, rooms are pleasant and clean, the bar and dining area is welcoming for a lone traveller!

It's a disgrace that there's no free Wi-Fi and they want to start charging for it in 2026. It's clear they're at their limit.

It mentions views so I asked for a room with a window! Don't! Ask for a room with a view otherwise you will get a slit for a window overlooking the gym. This was after walking in to the smell of drains. Half the usb c connections in the room don't work.

Extreme mould round the window. Constant banging, even at 2am. Think its the gym below, very annoying. Would give an extra star or 2 if it wasn't for the noise

Should you want to meet bugs, dirty windows, dirty towels, and hear neighbours flushing their toilets — feel free to not pay £80 more for an acceptable hotel.
