Just been took over had breakfast vile

Mothers day food after 1 year burial for mam after headstone down. Family gathering was chaos due to total lack service. 2x 18year olds on bar, deliveroo orders, collecting plates, doing orders.taking food out. No one greet us to table. Was total somone in our seat, asked politely to swap as was 8 of us. 40 mins in que drink. No pop. No change. Had to pay upfront. 2 hrs later my son daughter in law got food. Servers took 2 to other table 2 to another. Then no mince ds so my brother and partner left.( to find out later they had) Asked us 3x what we ordered. They were over whelmed.The whole lack service made it horrendous. Worst ever. Worst management. Toilets no t roll, water in carex, no hand drying. Ruined the day beyond belief. Avoid Avoid Avoid Shame as food ok Tip. Dont be greedy turn off deliveroo ordering with 2 staff and full pub!!!! Even they stormed off. Management wouldnt come out to help DISGRACEFUL

Went for dinner for Mother’s Day, table booked for 1pm. Upon arrival was told they’d given our table away and swapped it with the one next to it, which was a seat short. We spoke with the other party ourselves as the bar staff weren’t phased, they were polite enough and swapped as they had a smaller party. We then went to the bar to order drinks, queued for 35 minutes, no coke left, second mishap. Then they couldn’t give us our full change as they had no change in the til, said they’ll bring it over, they never came with it. Granted it was loose change but not the point. Waited over 30 minutes for food (not an issue) but from a party or 7, they brought 2 meals out, also one dinner was wrong but accepted due to the length of time it took to come. Had to ask for the veg, as they continued serving others and the meals had no veg, honestly just a joke at this point. We questioned after 10/15 minutes where the other meals were as we obviously expected to eat together, they retook our order as unaware of what we had ordered. Another 10 minutes went by for them to return and say sorry we have no mince and dumplings and brought one other dinner out of the 5 waiting, again veg not in sight. At this point we were fed up, two of us asked for refunds again we sat another ten mins or so whilst they were running around serving others. Left without a refund, asked another member of the party to collect it and bank transfer as by this point it was over an hour and a half later and we were too hungry to wait. Will not be returning in a hurry; no disrespect to the two staff who were working as you could see they were stressed. Said one member of staff hadn’t come in, I think even one extra hands would have made no difference! But what is meant to be a nice day was a shambles! Too busy with their just eat orders to be serving customers in house!

We're heading to morrisons for breakfast in there cafe, But we're passing the queen vic. So decided we would try it Right decision ordered regular breakfast for £5.95 2 of everything Sausages,eggs,toast,bacon, hash browns,black pudding. With tinned tomatoes,beans and mushrooms. Was not disappointed Actually got 3 slices of toast. Ordered pot of tea for two. Will definitely revisit Great customer service Great food all pipping hot Will not be able to eat for the rest of the day now. Glad I didnt order three of everything for £7.99 Well done queen vic at roker.

Fantastic!! We drove 45 mins to try the breakfast deal. 3 of EVERYTHING for £7 And wow did they deliver!!! The staff were friendly and approachable, had a laugh on as expected. The food was fresh, came out quickly and tasted great. Paid £10 for the 3 of everything and a latte. Well worth it if you like good eats!! Will definitely come back

Called in for breakfast and a cuppa on the 16th feb 2026 breakfast was beautiful chef did amazing the young woman serving was amazing welcomed with a smile service spot on definately return

Excellent hotel, excellent service and great breakfast

popped in for sunday carvery but was told dont do that any more (should change sign outside) but still serving sunday dinners at table so we ordered 2 x turkey dinners and they were lovely very nice indeed the staff were on the ball with service and requests called over and checked all ok so no issues there at all only down side we thought the seating area needed a tidy up seats looked very worn and scruffy but didnt put us off our dinner all so be aware they let dogs in bar area

Let's be honest here, we're talking about a £50 a night hotel, so don't expect it to be a Hilton, or Raddison. For £50, you can't knock it, room was worn, but the bed and all the bedding was spotless. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again without hesitation. Breakfast isn't included, but can be purchased for under £10 including coffee...

Tasty Sunday dinner but could have done being warmer

£7 breakfasts are well worth the money."massive"
