Travelodge Wallasey New Brighton

All you need for an overnight. Great location.

No air-conditioning so have to have the window open with industrial fans going all night from the shops/restaurants below... not much sleep had... room ok but shower awful... won't be staying here again...

The service was good and the room was nice but the spare bed leg was broken and I had to sleep on the mattress on the floor

Avoid. We paid something crazy like £190 for two nights. The room reeked of cigarettes and we weren’t provided enough towels, had to ask for more. 30 minutes free WiFi and then charging afterwards is absolutely crazy in this day and age. It was clean at least and location was good next to the marina. Be careful drying your hair in the room. I was doing my hair for a funeral when the reception staff knocked on my door because their smoke detecting panel went off due to hairspray/hair drier. They were nice about it when they realised I wasn’t breaking but I thought this was ironic seeing as somebody had previously smoked many cigarettes in their prior to my arrival. Anyway, I would say this place isn’t value for money

I spent a lot of time staying here with my daughter while we was looking for a Home, Killian and the whole team were always supportive, kind, and helpful no matter what. Their care and professionalism truly made a difference, and I’ll always be grateful for how welcome they made us feel throughout our stay. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights. First floor, and a sea view. Everything we needed. Great sleep. Clean crisp bedding. Tea, coffee, milk, replenished daily, more at reception if needed. Lovely fluffy white towels. Clean room. Clean hotel. Close by the promenade. Plenty of very local eateries. Would recommend and would go back again.

Good location and parking, plenty of options nearby for food/refreshments, reception staff helpful. Reason I gave only 3 stars - I was charged £12.50 amendment fee to the booking as I had to call them - premium rate number - to ensure we got a wheelchair accessible room. I was told there is an option on the booking screen to indicate this but there is nothing to do this on the booking screens (see screenshots - I double checked the process using a future date)! The booking was for a standard room, shown with with double/kingsize bed but we had 2 single beds! Cleaning staff left us with insufficient towels on 2nd day (reception staff helped with this) and the beds didn't get made up again - fairly standard with every other hotel we have used. Very basic room for the price.

Lovely cosy and clean room. Staff very professional and welcoming. Great location for exploring New Brighton with its clean and fresh air ambience. The Floral Pavillion is nearby and we saw a fabulous concert by Gary Murphy - "guitar legends". Will certainly visit and stay there again.

Our booking for a 'family room' was a standard room with a roll out bed and an additonal £140 charge! Lumpy pillows. No way of knowing if the water temperature on the shower was hot/cold... trial and error only!
