Last verified: November 2026. The honest summary: almost every gay bar in Santiago is on two short streets in Bellavista, Bombero Núñez and Antonia López de Bello, plus Fausto ten minutes east. Drag is the house style. Two former anchors, Bunker and Station, have closed, and Barrio Italia lost its lesbian bar in June 2026, so ignore any list that still leads with them.

Bombero Núñez: the strip

The street runs north from the river on the Recoleta side of Bellavista, one block west of Pío Nono. Venues are a few doors apart, so most people walk between two or three in a night.

    • Farinelli, No. 68 — drag-show bar ("shows de transformista" on its Google listing), 4.2 from about 270 reviews. Instagram: farinellidivas.
    • Bar 105, No. 105 — men-only fetish and cruise bar with a dark room, listed in gay guides for years; 4.5 from almost 500 reviews. Theme nights on 105fetish.cl.
    • Dionisio, No. 111 — drag bar. Its Google listing has gone and we couldn't confirm it's open, so check Instagram (dionisiodivas) first.
    • Infierno Divas, No. 125 — gay bar with drag shows, cocktails and food; small, 4.8 from about 30 reviews.
    • Moulin, No. 130 — describes itself as an LGBTI bar and restobar with live drag comedy; 4.5 from about 200 reviews.
    • Ex Femme, No. 169 — disco on the strip, 4.2 from about 240 reviews.
    • Contramano, No. 388 — restopub at the quieter north end, good for dinner and a first drink; 4.5 from more than 750 reviews.

Antonia López de Bello and Santa Filomena

    • Club Soda, No. 125 — Google calls it a high-energy gay club, with DJs and a patio; the late-night room on the street.
    • Illuminati, No. 133 — pop music and theme nights, late hours; 4.1 from nearly 1,000 reviews.
    • TOM House, No. 49 — men-only cruising bar, opened 2025, Friday and Saturday until about 04:30.
    • Hangar, Santa Filomena 10 — terrace and disco, Thursday terrace deals; 3.7 from about 225 reviews.
    • Zotano, Santa Filomena 63 — small gay bar; reviews are mixed (3.0).

    Outside Bellavista

    • Fausto, Av. Santa María 0832, Providencia — open since 22 August 1979, the city's oldest gay club, with drag contests on the programme; 4.3 from about 2,400 reviews. Ten minutes' walk east of the strip.
    • Sirenas Bar, Rosal 344, Lastarria — sapphic and queer bar run by women; the main bar for queer women in the city since Chueca closed.
    • La Prohibida, Condell 893, Providencia (Barrio Italia) — resto-bar with a garden and a weekly queer night with drag. Reviews mention bachelorette parties too; book if you want to see the stage.
    • Foxy Bar, Av. Nueva Providencia 2210 — small bar near Los Leones metro that reviewers have called a bear bar; very little recent information.
    • Club Berlín, Av. Vicuña Mackenna 1895 — gay nightclub south of Plaza Italia; check its link page for opening nights.
    • Nueva Cero, Euclides 1204, San Miguel — local gay disco with shows that says it has run for 27 years; 4.4 from almost 1,400 reviews. Take a taxi.

Closed or changed: gone but still Googled

    • Bunker (Bombero Núñez 159) — permanently closed on Google, marked closed by Travel Gay.
    • Station RestoBar (Antonia López de Bello 64) — permanently closed on Google.
    • Chueca Bar (Barrio Italia) — closed June 2026.
    • Burdel, Sabor a Mí — temporarily closed on Google.
    • Bar Loreto, Club Divino, Grizzly Bar, Lemon Lab — closed.
    • Limón (Dardignac 142) — no longer a gay venue since 2019.
    • Taurus — the party group that ran electro nights on Compañía de Jesús; we found nothing current.
    • Toby (Nueva Providencia 1411) — a bachelorette and strip club, not a gay bar.
    • Roberta (Condell 1315) — a mainstream bar and grill; we found no source calling it gay.

    Practical tips

    • Bars fill after 23:00, clubs after 01:00. Fridays and Saturdays are the nights; most places are shut or empty Monday to Wednesday.
    • Bigger parties sell tickets on Passline, Ticketplus or PuntoTicket and often happen in general event spaces such as Spot Freedom on Avenida Recoleta.
    • The metro stops around 23:00–23:40. Order a taxi or Uber from the door at the end of the night, and keep your phone away on Pío Nono, where street robberies were reported in 2025.
    • Drag shows are in Chilean Spanish and fast. The music between sets is pop, reggaeton and Latin hits more than house.
