I stayed for two days to get acclimated to the altitude and really enjoyed my time at the hotel before heading to Machu Picchu. I sat around drinking tea or petting the hotel cat who sat on my lap while I read. I also booked a massage in the spa area for $60. It was a nice way to relax after traveling all day the previous day. It's hidden in a very very unassuming place off of the main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We booked a night at this hotel to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and the service was good until we paid. After that, everything went downhill. I wrote days in advance to reconfirm the reservation and received no response until I had to call. They promised complimentary romantic room decorations, which we initially wanted to pay for, but they didn't provide them. We also didn't receive any kind of congratulations or special attention, despite having specified that we were celebrating a special occasion. I reserved a bonfire with a cheese board and two non-alcoholic drinks, but this wasn't coordinated with the restaurant. They only provided the bonfire, claiming we hadn't specified the date we wanted the service and that they didn't have the cheese board. But we were only staying one night, so we could only have the bonfire on the night of our stay or the morning of check-out, which made absolutely no sense. I would have preferred an explanation of a communication error between the sales and operations departments, instead of being made to feel like it was my fault for not specifying when I wanted the service. After we had to change our dinner plans because they didn't have the cheese board, the restaurant also didn't have pizzas because they hadn't turned on the oven. I suppose if we had complained, they would have told us we should have specified that we wanted pizza, but they never informed us of this, nor did they ask when we wanted the full bonfire experience. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I would never return to this hotel. I left with the feeling that they trick you into making a reservation and then fail to deliver on any of their promises.
A very nice hotel, the rooms are very comfortable, the food is spectacular, and the location is excellent!
A place for mental and spiritual rest, surrounded by the Sacred Valley, with the scent of rosemary and aromatic plants.
A Gem in the Heart of the Sacred Valley Staying at Andean Wings Valley was one of the best decisions of the trip. The hotel is nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, surrounded by expansive gardens, lush vegetation, and majestic mountains. The atmosphere exudes tranquility from the moment you step inside, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Pisac, Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and of course, Machu Picchu. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and feature beautifully executed Andean details. The bed is incredibly soft and inviting, and the heating keeps the room perfectly warm during the valley's chilly nights. The freshly prepared breakfast, made with local ingredients, was a favorite part of every morning. And if you have the chance to dine at Romero Osteria, don't miss it: the Peruvian-Italian fusion is delicious, and the presentation is impeccable. What I appreciate most is the warmth of the staff. I took a group of 19 travelers, and the attention to detail, punctuality, and willingness of the staff to coordinate transfers, excursions, and special requests were impeccable. Every single one of my passengers left in love with the place. Andean Wings Valley combines nature, comfort, and authentic hospitality like few other hotels in the region. I will definitely return, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the Sacred Valley with style and tranquility.
