Shubie Kamp Alanı

I am extremely disappointed with the way our reservation was handled at Shubie Campground. I reserved four campsites together in February, several months in advance. Between February and April, I made numerous attempts to contact the campground by phone and left multiple messages, but no one ever answered or returned my calls. I finally received a reservation confirmation by email in May. On the day of our arrival, the office called to confirm our arrival time. When we checked in, we were shocked to learn that our four reserved campsites had been assigned far apart from one another. The explanation I received was unbelievable. I was told that because we arrived later in the day, the staff had given our adjacent sites to campers without reservations who had arrived that morning and wanted to camp together. In other words, people who had not planned ahead were given priority over customers who had reserved months in advance. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff member at the office. She refused to discuss the issue, showed no willingness to find a solution, and abruptly told me to leave the office and go to my assigned campsite. We understand that campgrounds can face unexpected situations, but honoring confirmed reservations should be a basic expectation. If changes are unavoidable, customers deserve advance notice, an explanation, and respectful service—not to discover the problem upon arrival. Unfortunately, this experience completely overshadowed the start of our trip. Based on how our reservation was handled and the poor customer service we received, I cannot recommend Shubie Campground.

This was the best campsite we ever been too we got to go swimming at this lovely little sand beach it was perfect we had so much fun then we walked the amazing trail it was like out of a movie wildlife everywhere the trees and paths were beautiful thank you so much for this amazing day with my family

Has everything you need and a little beach and walking trails alongside was a nice added extra. Thanks to one of the workers, Ryan, who lent his hose to us for our stay as our hose wasn't long enough for the site we were in.

Very relaxing campsite, comfortable grassy site. A lack of trees, like many campsites, but access to a beautiful beach, close to Halifax and directly on the bike path. Very well located. Friendly welcome. The convenience store at reception could be better stocked: food, toiletries for emergencies.

Shubie is a great campground! Super friendly staff, washrooms are very clean and we loved the airstreams! All decorated super well and the location is not far from the lake which is a plus. Quick drive to the ferry and then you are in downtown Halifax. 10/10 would come again!

We had a wonderful stay at Shubie Campground! After reading some of the reviews I was nervous but they were all untrue. This camp ground has a cute beach area, hiking paths and kayaking area. The campground is well maintained with great sites. There is a nice park right next door with lots of activities for families. My husband and I stayed for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Close to Halifax with a short ferry ride to the boardwalk area. This place is a gem we would definitely recommend it and hope to return in the near future. If you visit say Hi to Ryan J in the office he is very helpful!!
