It was a wonderful stay. It has an excellent location and the entire staff was very friendly. We are truly grateful for their hospitality. They made our stay unforgettable. Jorge, Turam, and Adrian's recommendations were extremely helpful. They supported and guided us with any questions and made us feel at home, surrounded by friends. The breakfast is delicious, and they have the best mojitos in Havana. 100% recommended.

This is the best place in all of Havanna! We stayed here for two weeks and had an unforgettable time. The other reviews have said it all, great rooms with a perfect location, unique breakfast, fabulous lunch and vintage appeal - real Cuban vibes. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the heart and soul of the place - Jorge and his team of staff. You made travelling in Cuba the best experience possible, with so much laughter, love and the best service, the best drinks, the best conversations and advice EVER. Quite simply the best hotel in Havanna by all measures. We wish we could take you with us!

It’s picturesque and located in an old town. That’s all the proses. Cons: It’s incredible noisy. I mean really very very noisy, you can’t sleep there at all. Breakfast looks very nice, but portions are tiny and I have some doubts about quality of food. Can’t recommend this place

In spite of all the problems that Cuba is facibg nowadays, like electricity power cuts or shortage of certain kinds of food or basic need sources, the staff in the hostal (Losandra the cook, Santo, Jorge, Rolando the receptionists and the maids) made our stay as pleasant as they could under the circumstances. The room we stayed in Grand Laudalina was very spacious and clean, so one should go for this one. The breakfast ritual is one of a kind and if you choose to have lunch or dinner some of the dishes are absolutely delicious! On the whole this is a hostal,not a big hotel so expect to live the authentic Cuban experience!

This Hostal is just incredible. The service is superb, the rooms really original and gorgeous. I also want to mention the exceptional breakfast provided with a reservation. Definitely a recommendation for everyone visiting Havanna City!

If you want to practice for a jail sentencing stay at this hotel-- Don't expect A/C and cool rooms as the units are not efficient and don't bother asking for a fan because they only have one and they won't let you borrow it. My shower was literally a drip, mattresses were uncomfortable... The young woman that works there is very moody and lacks customer service skills-- I gave up asking her questions, recommendations, etc... A lot of noise from the street, alarms going off all night, etc....I would NEVER EVER stay here again and feel it ruined my first trip to Cuba.

We absolutely loved our stay here at this beautiful historic converted home. From our arrival through to our departure and everything in between we received nothing short of the most amazing warm Cuban hospitality offered in Old Havana . Richard and his team bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and memorable at Hostal Balcones. Mariana the manager is an absolute angel who made sure each day for us was easily planned organising bookings and transport along the way. The rest of the beautiful Balcones staff also made us so very much at home that we almost felt like family. It’s a thoughtfully restored historical home that has been filled with eclectic collections of antiques and curiosities and you really feel you are stepping back in time with so much to admire and enjoy. With a very generous breakfast included daily cooked by the lovely Louisandra the chef, to laughs and salsa dancing with our room maid Jordania followed by our vote of the best Mojito in Havana in a tea pot made by Mariana the mixologist manager our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. Do yourself a favour and get a taste of Cuban life in the centre of old Havana by booking your stay at this gem.

A nice hotel, although it's colonial in style. My husband and I stayed here in the center of Havana. Polite staff, beautiful room, everything you need. 5-star breakfast! Thank you, I highly recommend it.
