Hotel Santiago, Curio Collection by Hilton

I stayed at this property in late June over the weekend. I stayed on one of their suites. While the property is cleaned, the service I’ve received isn’t aligned with how the property looks, which is unfortunate. I went on a business trip with little time to go out, so I would have to buy food from the hotel. First night, I ordered their signature burger, which I woke up in the middle of the night to throw up. I thought it was me. No problem. I did not raise any alarms. Next night comes, I ordered the same thing, due to the convenience of it. Easy to make, and quick. This time, worst. When I left the hotel, I mentioned these events to the front desk and said I wanted to speak to someone. It is a fact that I’ve left the buns and fries, on the plate, which their housekeepers could verify; I only ate the protein (the burger). I’ve left the hotel and came back home, only to have the worst flight, and the worst comeback home as I had to spend a week in a food poisoning episode. I reached out to this hotel, which is supposed to be prestigious, and elite in its customer service. I have reached out multiple times, and I have never received any communication back, despite leaving in-person feedback, or trying to reach out to them via the Expedia in-message app. This property does not care about making things right, and it is obvious they can care less about replying to said negative events with their guests. It isn’t what happened, it is how a business responds to it, and I never received any communication response. Pure background noise. Won’t book here again. Be aware if you book here.

I was very excited to stay at this hotel for my birthday celebration. One of the main reasons I chose this property was because I wanted to enjoy the beautiful hotel and take a few professional birthday photos during my stay. I understand that hotels have policies regarding professional photography. However, I was extremely disappointed to learn that, despite already paying over $260 for one night as a guest, the hotel requires an additional $1,000 USD just to use a single public area for photos. For me, this fee is excessive and completely unreasonable. I wasn’t planning a commercial production or a large event—just a simple birthday photo session while staying at the hotel. Because of this policy, I decided to cancel my reservation. It’s unfortunate because I was genuinely looking forward to experiencing the hotel, but this left me feeling that the focus is more on charging additional fees than on creating a memorable guest experience. I hope the hotel will reconsider this policy in the future, especially for registered guests.

Best hotel ever we stayed in the room was big and the Pool was amazing and a mall right next door

I stayed in this hotel 5 unforgettable nights. Everything was excellent, from the valet parking to the morning breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends and family. Keep up the great work.
