Good hotel, close to several highly-rated restaurants. The staff is welcoming. The breakfast is good. I recommend this hotel.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! The room smelled awful, the air conditioning was noisy, and the decor was incredibly outdated. It might be okay for one night, but I've been waiting for a refund for a month now, despite receiving an email confirming it, but I've heard nothing. It's shameful; they profit from tourism and act in bad faith towards their customers. I will never return.

The Eco Hotel El Rey del Caribe is a charming boutique hotel with hacienda vibes, located in downtown Cancun, on Av Uxmal near Av Nader. It features two verdant courtyards, one with a pool and Jacuzzi. There's also a hammock and lounge chairs, plus a nook with patio furniture where you can sit and talk. If you forgot something, various amenities are available from the front desk. Good massages are available at reasonable prices. You'll be in good hands with Lupita. It's close to many tasty restaurants and bars that feature everything from tacos to sushi and pizza. It's also nearby interesting tourist sites like the Parque de las Palapas and Mercado 23, both of which feature street food and handicrafts. Free coffee, tea and water are always available in the lobby, which is a cool place to sit and relax. The overall atmosphere is like being in your own private forest.It's quiet, and you will hear the birds singing. They're serious about being environmentally friendly. Water is heated using solar panels, pool water is reused for the toilets, towels are provided only on request, and they recycle a lot, including cans and bottles you use in your room. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. They're fairly large and have good Wi-Fi, a mini split, ceiling fan, and a fridge with a freezer. Good breakfast is included and features everything from Mexican fare to American favorites. The staff is very friendly. It's easy to get around Cancun using the inDrive app or ADO bus. The Eco Hotel El Rey del Caribe is great for families and solo travelers, or anyone who wants a unique place to stay and relax. However, this is not the place for you if you're unable to climb stairs or want to party. There is no elevator and alcohol and tobacco are not allowed.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel in Cancun. The pool is cold and next to a forest of mosquitoes. The vegetation is overgrown, giving it a chaotic feel. The room is outdated and lacks charm. Only one pillow per person. This was my first time staying in a hotel in Mexico, after having stayed in several. There was no toilet brush. The hotel is fine for one night, but no more.

The hotel is gorgeous, full of lush vegetation and a lovely pool area. The rooms are clean and functional. It’s super quiet at night, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious, and the location is excellent, close to the bus terminal, Puerto Cancún, and the entrance to the Hotel Zone. Without needing to stay locked inside an all-inclusive resort, this hotel lets you explore Cancún while keeping your budget under control. The only downside is the water pressure is a bit weak, not a problem for me and surely not a big thing. Highly recommended
