Garden State Equality

Garden State Equality is New Jersey's largest LGBTQ+ advocacy and education organisation. It was founded in 2004 and took a central part in the campaigns for marriage equality and anti-discrimination law in the state. Its current work covers lobbying, LGBTQ+-inclusive schools and healthcare, and training for businesses and public bodies. Its headquarters are in the former Asbury Park & Ocean Grove Bank building at 308 Main Street in Asbury Park, and it also has a presence in Montclair. It is an advocacy office, not a drop-in centre.
