Elaine's Bed & Breakfast

Lovely old structure with great furnishings. We were very disappointed, though, as there was no one there to let us in (we unlocked ourselves) or to welcome us. There was NO breakfast in the morning - no OJ or food in fridge, dirty dishes in the sink, etc. It was very "unwelcoming" and I don't know why it's called a bed and breakfast if there's no breakfast. We saw no staff the entire evening/morning that we were there so we let ourselves out and drove away. Very disappointing, indeed. Since writing the original comments and seeing the reply, I did not understand that a breakfast was an extra cost. From my experience of staying at b and bs, this is the first time I ever heard that breakfast was an extra charge. By itself, I think the charge for one night in the Library Room was expensive enough to include breakfast. If there isn't enough staff to welcome guests and send them off in the morning, I would suggest just not accepting reservations for the night. And yes, I received the information about coffee and snacks but we don't drink coffee or eat snacks. When we left in the morning at 9:00, there was a car in the driveway, so someone/staff had shown up in the middle of the night but we never saw or heard the person during the night or in the morning. Thank you, however, as we loved your facility with its fine furnishings!

Wonderful B&B in an incredible setting and an even more incredible host. Abby runs Elaines for her grandmother, the namesake of the inn. Our room had an amazing view in which we could see lighting from over 100 miles away. Very quiet and peaceful. Abby entertained with a great breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and fruit, along with explaining the history of the inn. Perfect stay!

What a beautiful place. The staff were very friendly (especially Argus), and the breakfast was great. If I'm in the Albuquerque area again, this is where I will stay.

A very sweet family-owned business in a breathtaking mountain setting. I enjoyed chatting with the host and a fellow guest, as well as quiet solitary reading and birdwatching in the beautiful outdoors (your choice of lower patio or elevated deck!). A well-appointed coffee/snack bar and hearty, balanced breakfast prepared us for our following adventures at Petroglyph. Definitely take some time to appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship of the home, from the vintage stained glass downstairs to the sunburst rock pattern near the top of the chimney, as well as the variety of birds and plants around the property.

We loved our stay. Beautiful, quiet and well taken care of cottage with a great view off the deck and shared living room. We stayed in the Sangre de Cristo Room which had a fireplace, a wonderful view of far off mountains and trees and a jacuzzi tub. Stella and Abby, who helped us, were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but would love to come back for a few evening.

A lovely, secluded spot with comfortable rooms and a friendly host. Willing to make adjustments for food allergies. The property abuts the national forest with a lovely view of the valley below. Highly recommended, will be our "go to" place to stay in the area.

Clean and serene! Abby and Stella are great hosts - thoughtful and friendly. I had a great nights sleep and a beautiful morning in the dog-friendly room. The accommodations are homey (in a fancy way) and unique. I loved hearing about the family business! Hope to return with my mom!
