Moxy Charleston Downtown

I love it the hotel is nice and nothing went wrong I would reccomend this all day balcony is awesome for the 4th of July

Brittany was absolutely fantastic and so welcoming for me and my girls. She saved the day on a tough traveling day in a new city, and we could not be more grateful!

Had an amazing stay at the Moxy Charleston! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but perfect and have everything you need. Such a great setup!

My boyfriend and I had a great stay here! Great location that is not far from King’s Street and the hotel is a very fun and unique atmosphere. However, the lady that checked us in at the bar when we arrived seemed very disinterested and was eating during the check in process which felt a bit odd and unwelcoming. Aside from that, we had a great time and shoutout to Kendra at the bar for giving us fabulous recommendations for the area. We loved her vibrant energy!

Stayed at the Moxy. We are in our 50s. We walked to breakfast nearby and to the park. We also walked to the coffee shop wine bar Blum 3 mins away. Yes we did Uber too to South Baterry to walk down the boardwalk with the ocean biew next to us the entire time. We ubered to some restaurants on King St at night for dinner too. Rates were the lowest in downtown Charleston and Blum had great bottles of wine nearby. We loved the Moxy. Free drink given too.

Romms are very small. Not you typical hotel. No chairs or closets. Bathroom was very nice and towels were extra soft and large. Bed slept good. Check in is on the 6th floor bar . Parking is 35 dollars per night. Not a walkable neighborhood. Probably ok for younger people.

The Moxy was great for our business trip of 2 . For the price is fine and centrally located near restaurants and coffee shops. for our morning, coffee Blum a quick two minute walk away was fantastic. They open at 7 am so of course, we would go there to how are morning coffee?And their pastries are delicious before we started our business meetings. Some business meetings we also had there. It's a huge spot that's ideal to meet clients in downtown charleston, or just study or get some work done. Our wine bottles we also bought there as well as champagne bottles because they were all less than thirty dollars a bottle. does coffee shop and wine bar was literally our salvation.We saved a lot of money going there every day. the moxie rooftop bar is very pretty, but word of caution.The drink chip they give you is for just one specific drink, that's free. If you don't drink that drink, you can't use the chip. At least they give you something for free. The room was small, but it had everything we needed again.We were here for business. for what one pace a night, this is the best deal.Hence down in downtown charleston and as far as the location is concerned as well, which is awesome. 5 stars for Moxy

You can hear every noise anyone around you makes. The guy in the room behind mine is SNORING so loudly my wall is shaking.

This hotel was really disappointing. Let’s start with the reception and valet service the staff were not welcoming, didn’t smile, and barely provided any useful information. The neighborhood also felt very unsafe at night, with a large homeless population around the area. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

I hesitate to give poor marks for service, because, for the most part, the staff here is amazing! They are super friendly, but my problem is more with the unseen executives who seem to be completely out of touch with what their clientele wants and so often needs. The two examples that immediately come to mind are the following: — When I call, there is some sort of juvenile robotic-sounding answering system (“If.you’d.like.to.chit.chat.” and “Here’s.the.scoop.”). It really cheapens the whole more feel of what I think the Moxy is going for. But then, maybe they are going for the more juvenile crowd? Regardless, why can’t I just call and get a person? I hate the AI and personless answering services and kiosks becoming so prolific in our society. — When anyone arrives at the Moxy in CHS, you receive a token for a “complementary vodka highball” as a welcome. Unfortunately, I don’t drink vodka. Ever. I am a beer guy, but guess what? You can’t actually switch these tokens out for any other substitute drink that would actually make me feel welcome. So instead of a positive, “feeling welcome” experience that I believe they are going for, they actually alienate those non-vodka drinkers with a grand total of zero alternative drink options. At least complementary. So it’s kinda like: “Welcome (as long as you conform to our idea of feeling welcome)!” Honestly, it would almost be better that they not even offer this complimentary drink. I have reached out to upper management repeatedly, asking them why we can’t substitute for a drink we actually want and would make us road warriors feel more welcome. Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten a real answer. Maybe it’s an inventory thing. Maybe whoever wrongly thought that a vodka highball is THE drink for the masses just won’t change his or her mind. No matter what it is, it still kinda pisses me off, every time I check in and are offered these stupid tokens, as it’s a reminder of what I can’t have as a part of my stay.

Love staying at Moxy when in town for business. Enjoyed morning walks over to BLUM coffee which is a 2 minute quick stroll for my morning latte and pastries. It's a quiet place to work from and beautiful inside. Great wine specials at their wine bar and they're open 7 days a week which is a plus in Charleston
