Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown

It's like "Coming Home". It's a great location, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with a killer shower, but best of all is the staff. The staff makes it home.

Staff was amazing and the room was well kept. The food was pretty good and the drinks were, decently priced. Parking is pricey whether you valet or go across the street and use the municipal parking, which is also pricey. There are some pretty good bar/restaurants in the area. There is no pool. For some odd reason when you google the location, it mentions a pool.

Stayed at Hyatt Place Charlotte for a weekend girls trip and overall it was a decent stay. The complimentary continental breakfast every morning was convenient, gym and having a bar onsite with food available during certain hours was a nice touch for snacks and drinks without leaving the hotel. The room itself was pretty basic and lacked some standard hotel essentials like bar soap and lotion, which was disappointing. Also, be prepared for the parking situation — parking cost us $50 per day, which definitely adds up quickly for a weekend stay. Good location and decent amenities for a girls trip, but a few small details and the expensive parking kept it from feeling like a great value.

The staff is what makes this just a standout hotel. Very kind and accommodating.

Spent several days here while in town for the Textiles convention. FABULOUS service, rooms were comfy and clean and the guest lobby is just gorgeous.

Check in experience was horrible not gonna lie, but sequila, Alma, and Ilse made it all worth it with their awesome hospitality. Please give them a raise.

4/28/26, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! It books through Priceline.com. You think because you are on the Google ad for the hotel and click check availability that you are booking with the hotel. You are not. It will show you some rooms and rates. When you click that you want to book the room, it books for a pre-selected date that you didn’t choose at a non-refundable, non changeable date that you did not confirm anywhere in the booking process. It’s only when you receive your email confirmation that you are notified of this and then it’s too late. Hotel Management or Priceline will not work with you for a even a date change let alone a refund. It’s a SLICK CORPORATE MONEY GRAB!! No telling how many people they’ve robbed like this because they figure no one will take the time to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and in today’s age it’s not like citizens or consumers have any protections anyway.

Night shift worker was very rude two nights in a row. Had to wake him up asleep at the desk and had an attitude for waking him up. Not good customer service.

I recently moved to Charlotte and stayed here for a weekend while getting settled. I chose Hyatt Place based on price, location, and amenities, and even called ahead to confirm details. While I was told there was no hot tub, everything else seemed to check out. Getting there was frustrating—the address listed led me in circles for 20 minutes, and I had to call to get a different address since the hotel is valet-only. Then at check-in, I was surprised with a $48/day valet fee that was never mentioned beforehand. The room itself was great—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed, shower, and overall setup were excellent. Staff were also consistently kind, professional, and apologetic throughout my stay. However, there were several disappointments: The restaurant/bar is not affiliated with the hotel and is very expensive ($79 for one meal and drink). The TV setup is limited (no guide), and Netflix didn’t work despite being advertised. The mini fridge wasn’t turned on, which caused my food to spoil. Most importantly: there is NO pool, despite photos online and my prior call confirming amenities. I later learned it’s been closed for years. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, well-stocked, and enjoyable. Overall, the biggest issue here is lack of accurate information and communication. The staff on-site were great, but corporate/online listings are clearly outdated, which leads to a frustrating guest experience.
