Had amazing view of Wrigley Field from my room! Bar area is great & food is good. Great location for walking to many, many shops and food places!

Leaving a five star review was the least I could do for this place— the best hotel I’ve been to, with wonderful friendly staff, clean, elegant; and such a luxurious experience! My mom booked this place to celebrate my 21st birthday and the staff left me a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a wonderful card! The bartenders were super friendly, offering me a free shot and the rooms were clean, spacious, and had bathrobes and all the amenities we could need. I didn’t want to leave! Thank you to all the staff, cleaning and bartending; for such a magical experience. I hope to come back soon!

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Asked for extra pillows and they blow us off. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are ridiculously cheap with no support. No fridge in the room, which is pretty stupid. Air conditioning is noisy, the toilet is noisy when the tank is filling back up. The only bright spot was the shower, with plenty of water pressure.

We had a lovely room looking right at Wrigley stadium. We had housekeeping services each day. The lobby was a wonderful place to stretch out and relax. A hot breakfast is available each morning and a hot coffee station is available until 3pm. There were also music events a couple of evenings. The location is within walking distance to many restaurants including several on the same block. We will stay here again when we are back in Chicago.

Some hotels are just places to sleep. Hotel Zachary, across from Wrigley Field, is not one of them. This place understands where it stands. Literally. It sits there across from the old ballpark like it knows the assignment. Like it knows it’s not just in Wrigleyville — it’s part of the story now. Named for Zachary Taylor Davis, the architect who gave Chicago Wrigley Field, the hotel doesn’t beat you over the head with baseball nostalgia. It doesn’t turn itself into a theme park. There are no cheap gimmicks. No lazy “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” nonsense stapled to the walls. Instead, it does something better. It remembers. The history is in the bones of the place. In the lines. In the textures. In the way the lobby feels less like a hotel lobby and more like the living room of a very well-read Chicagoan who owns good whiskey, old books, and probably has complicated opinions about the designated hitter. It’s warm. It’s handsome. It’s confident. There are spaces built for people to come together — before the game, after the game, or on some random Tuesday when nobody needs a scoreboard to justify a drink. You can feel that rare thing hotels talk about constantly and almost never deliver: a sense of place. And the rooms? Top notch. Comfortable without being boring. Stylish without trying too hard. The kind of room where you drop your bag, look around, and immediately think, “Alright. They got this right.” The whole property walks that beautiful Chicago line between grit and grace. Brick, leather, wood, history, hospitality. It feels rooted. Not manufactured. Not focus-grouped into beige submission. Rooted. And that’s the thing about Hotel Zachary: it doesn’t just borrow from Wrigley Field’s history. It extends it. Across the street is the cathedral — ivy, steel, memory, heartbreak, beer, joy, ghosts. And here, across the way, is the parish house. A place to gather. A place to exhale. A place that understands the game is bigger than the game. Hotel Zachary is not just a great hotel near Wrigley Field. It is a love letter to Chicago, architecture, baseball, neighbourhoods, and the rare magic that happens when a building knows exactly who it is. Easy 5/5. No notes.

Beautiful small hotel located in the heart of Wrigleyville. Very laidback chill atmosphere. Luvd the ambiance.

This is a Marriott standout. Each room is unique and light years away from the sterile, cookie cutter accomodations of just about ever other hotel on the planet. Perfect location for a ball game, and the staff was top notch.

We had the best time this week at the Zachary! The staff is wonderful and so helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and decorations are carefully selected. Can wait to return!!
