The Silversmith Hotel & Süitler

Unfortunately we did not get to stay the 4 nights we had planned due to their 6 night minimum stay. When I inquired about the minimum, I did not receive a response. Thankfully there are many other comparable hotels in the area.

1 word, 3 syllables. BE....VER....LY..... I read many great reviews about this place, the staff, and ideal location which is why I booked for my stay, but nobody talks enough SPECIFICALLY about Beverly, she was the highlight of each day I stayed, seeing her and chatting right before I when out to the streets of Chicago. She made my birthday trip a trip to remember, she was nice, polite, patient, very helpful, and resourceful, not even with just me, she treated all guess with the same care. She has many great recommendations on what to do where to go and what to eat in chiacgo. I had a great time and definitely will be returning. ALSO although I didn't spend much time at the bar I can't leave out the customer service received from the bartender Antonio, very nice, and pleasant to chat with. He was very helping picking out drink options, and recommended things as well. (Give these 2 people a raise) they come to work and do more than just a job , I definitely will be returning. I stayed 2 nights from May 13 and Beverly was so nice and kind. Also, other front desk staffs were great, too. Great location and I stayed Room 310, I was not bothered at all with Subway Train noise. I definitely stay here again, when I visit Chicago again. Most of tourist attractions are within walking distance. Include shopping…

We stopped in to sit at the bar for a rest, knowing nothing about the hotel. The staff... The restful and easy going vibe... Thank you, to everyone who made us feel welcomed, took amazing care of us, and showed us the sort of hospitality we'd forgotten was even a thing. Oooh, plus, the old fashioned was an absolute treat. Renee and Antonio at the Adamus bar, y'all are our heroes forever. Thank you.

We were in town for a wedding. We knew we had made the right choice right away. Beverly at the registration desk was a sweetheart, gave us a warm greeting, offered and gave us direction to the church and reception venue, told us about the hotel features and made sure we had a quite room.

It is a bit dated, but the accessibility to the rooms is good. Be careful if you get a room with a train view, as the train noise is loud. There is a bar and a gym on the first floor.

Nice hotel until I got hit with the unexpected historic preservation fee and bottled water charge for water I did not use. No need to drink the $12 water when the hotel gives guests free water bottles in their rooms and in the lobby. The hotel did refund the water charge, but not the credit card fee. Suggest the hotel discuss any missing glass water bottles with their housekeeping staff. Booked through Priceline that hid the historic preservation fee. Do Not book anything through Priceline, whose motto is "no hidden fees"! They are dishonest. Hidden fees and fake charges ruined my opinion of my stay at the Silversmith. If you're okay with paying an additional $31 a night for a hotel that isn't that well preserved, then enjoy! Lobby furniture is worn and needs replacing. Staff was friendly.

We picked the Silversmith Hotel in downtown Chicago because we were in town for HRS 2026 and it was one of the conference hotels. Honestly, the location alone made it worth it. You walk out the door and you’re two minutes from Millennium Park. All the big restaurants, sightseeing spots, river tours, and stores like Macy’s, Target, and Walgreens are basically around the block. Super convenient. We had a king room and asked for a playmat for our baby. It showed up right away, a Graco one, clean and sturdy. If you’re traveling with a baby, request it before you arrive so you’re guaranteed one. Our room didn’t have a street view; it faced the inside of the building. Not ideal, but we weren’t in the room much anyway because there’s so much to do downtown. The bed was pretty comfortable, maybe an 8/10. The bathroom mirror had great lighting, and the toiletries smelled nice. They give you two bottles of water daily, plus a coffee machine with pods. Housekeeping is on request only, so you just ask if you need towels or cleaning. There’s also a nightly deposit of about $120, which you get back at checkout. You also get access to the fitness center 24/7 and one complimentary drink per night (beer or certain wines). The staff were great, and I have to shout out Kristopher. We needed to heat up leftovers, and he immediately helped us find the microwave and even offered plates. He was genuinely helpful the whole stay. Overall, great location, solid room, and really kind staff.
