Cedar Springs Road through Oak Lawn has been the centre of gay Dallas since the 1970s. The busiest stretch, around the 3900-4000 blocks near Throckmorton Street, holds the city's main cluster of gay bars and clubs, including long-running names such as JR's Bar & Grill and the Round-Up Saloon, plus restaurants and shops. Further north the road passes the Cathedral of Hope, one of the largest LGBTQ+ congregations in the US.
The strip is busiest on weekend nights and during Dallas Pride and the Halloween block party. It is walkable once you are there, but Dallas is a driving city, so plan on rideshare. Individual venues have their own listings.
