The Leo Collection Detroit, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I had high hopes for this hotel because of all the great reviews however I was kinda disappointed. Customer service was pretty good, but everything else was just meh. The hotel itself has construction happening where you enter at so that was kinda flustering. Also, something is wrong with their credit card machine it double charged me and authorized close to five hundred dollars for a hundred dollar room. On to the decor… we were on the third floor, so the bar when you get off the elevator is a cute addition although it doesn’t have alcohol I think it’s more for pictures. The room was huge we got the queen suite, but the air was stuck on and lighting was very poor. The beds were hard and the toilet was loud and hard to flush. Kinda just run down in my opinion. The pool and sauna was closed and the “continental breakfast” was a joke.

Me & my husband got to the hotel and was greeted by Sara. She explained the how process and was very nice. We got to our room and was having an issue with our T.V because we didn’t know how to properly work it. Sara came to our room within 5 minutes and took care of it. She didn’t hesitate. We appreciate you Sara and the experience.

I just want to give my feedback on my room, overall it was an alright stay, not what I expected, I went to use the shower last night and there was still soap all over the side back wall, there was a big hair ball in the corner, the towels had yellow stains all over them, there were black marks on the sheet of the bed closet to the couch. I see you guys are under some kind of construction but we were unaware that the pool and sauna we closed down until we got there. This was not a very good experience and unfortunately we will not be returning. Front desk lady was nice.

Yesterday “Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The room we booked had a very unpleasant odor and was extremely unclean. The staff’s behavior was also very poor. Initially, they said they didn’t have a bigger room, but when we asked to cancel, they said it was possible. After we decided not to stay, they changed their minds and said they did have a room on the next floor. However, we never used the room at all; we just briefly entered and immediately left. Despite this, we never got a refund. I do not recommend this hotel at all.”

Reserved a whirlpool room for the weekend. Room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

The staff was friendly and polite. We got the room with the largest jacuzzi, it was spacious. The beds were firm and not that comfortable. Around 10pm to 1am the room above us we heard boom boom boom, and as if they were moving the bed, chairs, bed dragging across the floor and again around 8am to 10 am 🙄 The shower head was leaking and not the cleanest, could literally see pubic hair sitting on the back of the bathroom door!!! The carpets to the rooms were not vacuumed, there were wrappers, straws and outside debris, it was dirty. Went to breakfast at 8 am, there was nothing replenished so walked back up to the room.

Stayed one night for an event in downtown Detroit. The location is very convenient, but, the walls are paper thin and I was able to hear the other guests. It didn't help at all that the other guests were making loud phone calls after midnight and what sounded like rustling/packing things very late at night. The front desk support is spotty with long periods without anyone there or no answer to calls. Breakfast was quite underwhelming, with strangely no coffee in sight at 8:15 am on a Saturday and no one to ask about this. Based on my one night experience, I cannot understand the overall rating. Maybe my one night here was an exception, but I won't be going back. I've had better luck at Quality Inn a few miles South.

My stay here was great! The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and always greeted me and asked if I needed anything. The location was great because it is right by I-75. Also, There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I saved a lot of money staying here and everything was great to me.

Really I was in a pinch I was thankful I found a Room

Great stay no complaints. We ubered to Tigers game from here.
