The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club

Was driving through onnmy way back home, 20 hr drive, and neded to stop for the night. Never having been to Madison, just me and my dog, I wanted to stay somewhere safe and nice. So my travel partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a nicer hotel and be cozy and pampered. Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was amazing! My dog is a service dog and has a disability himself. In the midst of me having a panic attack, and him having to do his business just as soon as we arrived, the staff took everything in stride and were so sweet and gentle with us. Instead of looking at me like I was a crazy old dog lady.. lol Anyway, I digress.. stopped in the bar for a drink later in the evening and it was so warm and inviting reminded me of old school 40's 50's vibe. The gentleman working the bar alone was great.. made a wonderful drink and the food was delicious. The room was super clean and when I needed a kettle tonwarm water they brought it and a suitcase stand within minutes. Needeless tonsay this was exactly what we needed a relaxing comfortable and clean room. I contemplateed staying another night but sadly we had to move on with our trip. I will deffinatle come back again to visit this suprosingly beautiful and clean city with a dear friend and my travel partner and stay in this fabulous hotel again!! And next time using rhe spa!! So so recommend this place. And again thank you to all the wonderful and friendly staff.

Was not there to stay. Was attending a wedding ceremony and reception. Beautiful space and terrific staff. Was a wonderful afternoon.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and there were pros and cons. Ultimately though, we will stay again due to the refund offered for said issues and how wonderful everything else was! I already can't wait to be back in the sauna. The food and drink were delicious but it was disappointing to find out no dessert had been prepared at all at the downstairs restaurant. The bed was soft and perfect, and the view of the water was beautiful. There is an abandoned building but they can't control that and anyway, there were still gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. It was a perfect spot to stay in and the underground parking in the heart of Madison was such a relief to have. It is 20$ a night but as someone who worries about parking a bit too much, it was worth the peace of mind. The room and governor's club lounge were lovely but the inroom hot tub had no accessibility railings, which was unfortunate for my partner with a bad leg. There was also scum around the edge of the water after running the jets for a few minutes. I used to work in housekeeping so I know how difficult it can be to keep a jacuzzi clean but still. Not something you want to see. The drain was also very slow and took most of the night to empty the tub. The attachment of the inner sheer curtain looked to be coming off on the first window. The furniture besides the bed was old and creaky. My partner was refunded a portion of the price and after discussing it, we decided it was definitely worth going back. We just won't pick such an expensive room next time. Although I think it was part of a sweetheart's deal package that gave us the strawberries, chocolate sauce and Prosecco. Hershey's syrup, though. We can't wait to be able to stay again and explore more of what Madison has to offer!

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is one of the best places to stay in downtown Madison. The location is unbeatable—right near the Capitol, restaurants, State Street, and everything happening downtown. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff is always professional and welcoming. The Governor’s Club adds an extra level of comfort with great service, relaxing lounge space, and excellent food and drinks throughout the day. Whether for business, a weekend getaway, or a special event, the experience always feels upscale, convenient, and consistently reliable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Madison!

Great pool

Very friendly staff, cool location! Rooms are pretty dated, so you can hear every conversation, every door shutting, and all noises from outside. It makes it very hard to sleep in! Additionally the alarm clock was randomly set and went off at 648 am
