Milwaukee LGBT Community Center: Board of Directors Meeting (Read Description)

The Board of Directors meets regularly to provide strategic governance, fiduciary oversight, and organizational leadership for the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. Board members are expected to come prepared, having reviewed all meeting materials in advance, and to actively participate in discussion and decision-making.<br><br><b>Board Attendance Expectations<br></b><br>Pursuant to the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center Bylaws, the Board of Directors holds a minimum of nine (9) regular meetings annually. Directors are expected to make Board service a priority and attend meetings consistently. Under the Bylaws, a Board member may be removed for:<br><ul><li>Missing two (2) consecutive Board meetings without advance notice, or</li><li>Missing four (4) scheduled Board meetings during a calendar year.</li></ul><br>The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center understands that life happens. Emergencies, illness, family obligations, and work commitments occasionally arise. The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center will host a joint Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 8th, 2026. More details will be forthcoming. <br><br><b>Staff Attendance<br></b><br>Attendance at Board of Directors meetings is required for all Milwaukee LGBT Community Center staff unless otherwise directed.<br><br>Board meetings are considered an organizational priority and should be reflected accordingly in staff scheduling.<br><br>Should the Board of Directors enter into Executive Session, all staff members with exception of the Executive Director (Unless requested to excuse themselves by the Board President) will be excused.<br><br>Staff who have a scheduling conflict due to official Milwaukee LGBT Community Center business, approved Paid Time Off (PTO), or illness must notify Ritchie T.
