Howell Park

Howell Park is the quieter, more secluded cousin of nearby Denny Blaine, a tiny wooded pocket beach on Lake Washington reached by a short path down from Lake Washington Boulevard. It has long been favored by gay men looking for a calmer, more private spot to swim and sunbathe.

There are no facilities to speak of, so bring what you need. It is a public shoreline in a residential area, so keep it low-key and respectful, and check current local rules, which have tightened across these lakeside beaches in 2025-26.
