Holiday Inn Los Angeles Gateway - Torrance by IHG

I mainly stay at this location because it’s conveniently located by the 405, 110 and the 91 freeways. Customer Service rate a 3 out of 5. I don’t think there’s enough Housekeeping staff because there’s always questions regarding the timing of their service.

I was able to work because there was a workspace, and the room was spacious, which was great!

The bar team also shines: Oscar: A craftsman with exceptional memory for preferences and an instinct for the room. He makes the bar feel like a social heart of the hotel. Satoko: Creative, attentive, and inclusive—non-alcoholic options and flavor-forward recommendations that elevate every visit. Housekeeping excellence: The rooms are immaculate—crisp linens, spotless surfaces, and a level of care that rivals luxury properties. The quiet, respectful, and efficient staff ensure privacy and deliver consistently high standards. Their sustainable practices also reflect genuine care for the environment. Location and value: Torrance is a perfect base for business or leisure, with easy trips to Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Del Amo, and easy access to downtown L.A. The concierge-level service from the front desk enhances the area’s value, making every stay effortless and memorable. Twenty years with IHG has yielded many good stays, but this property truly elevates the brand. The people here—Imelda, Kyle, Barbara, Jasmine, Enrique, Eddie, Yadira, Oscar, Satoko, and the housekeeping team—form a culture of authentic, consistent hospitality. The hotel and staff set the benchmark for customer service. When I checked in this afternoon they call me by name and welcome me back. The restaurant has a new menu and I'm currently having the ribeye steak. The steak was superb the bartender was outstanding and the service was second to none. Thanks for making my stay the best I've had in a long time.
