Viking Hotel Waterford

I love this hotel! Me and my fiancée stayed here for New Years for two days from 31st December to the 2nd January, a wonderful experience from check in to check out. The staff are so helpful they even had a fan in our room as we requested straight away. The rooms are just amazing, the design, the layout, I love the turquoise blue colours and dark blue. It really reminds of Waterford with the marine theme, this hotel is everything a hotel should be! We will be staying again for sure whenever we need a break, the bar is beautiful, the drinks are great and reasonably priced, the morning breakfast buffet is superb. Myself and my fiancée also loved the dinner at this hotel in which we booked for two nights a row, the food is devine. Anyone who is contemplating booking this hotel, book it! It is the best hotel in Waterford now without a shadow of a doubt. One last thing to add I left an item behind me which was very valuable. I got a phone call straight away from reception letting me know and when I could collect it. They made sure to keep my valuable item very safe and when I collected it everything was wonderful and kind from the reception. I was so appreciative of this as well, number 1st hotel in Waterford and the pricing is the best also!

We had a reservation in the restaurant at Viking Hotel for our son’s christening celebration, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, the food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly organised. Bruno was extremely helpful with everything from start to finish, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The rest of the staff were also very friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the day. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again in the future.

WHAT CAN I SAY!!! AMAZING! This is a little gem. Myself and herself stayed for new years for 2 nights. It was our 1st time there...upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and made to feel very welcome. The rooms are beautiful and VERY recently renovated. The entire hotel is spotless. We went to nurse our hangovers with a gorgeous buffet breakfast. The carvery was absolutely gorgeous. We genuinely can not fault the place. The staff, and I mean EVERY ONE OF THEM are so friendly and looked after us from the minute we arrived. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Rooms clean and tidy, if sparsely appointed. Plastic glasses in bathroom sharp around the edge - beware when drinking. Towels ok if you are a size 8 but wouldn't go half way around my waist! Excellent staff at reception and in the restaurant.
