Travelled with four friends. Used a horizon club voucher to get my room upgraded for the trip. Club Lounge was clean, spacious and had semi-buffet breakfast with made-to-order options. Rooms were clean and with sufficient amenities but some may consider rather dated. It did the job for me so no complaints. Gym was huge. Possibly one of the biggest gyms I have ever seen in a hotel. Many different equipment and machines. Well-appointed. Perhaps staff could monitor the gym floor a bit better because it seemed like a previous user had left many dumbbells and equipment strewn all over the place and the benches sweaty. There were wet wipes holders but they were empty :( Breakfast was generally good. Overall, a great experience.
Decided to post this as a more recent English review for all to consider Great hotel. Staff are nice and polite and the breakfast buffet gives you a taste of the specialities of Wuhan. Regan Mian,regan beef noodles,Egg wine etc. housekeeping is very friendly and will chit chat with you and are also very professional The gym is on L4 with free entry for guest , great selection of equipment and weights for strength and general fitness. There were other yoga and pilates equipment as well. There is also a pool. Nearby food includes macdonalds and luckin, but skips the macdonalds ans get the nearby hole in the wall shops with gaifan,regan mian, doupi and more. A short walk away is mixc,a shopping center which had a great selection of shops. When i was here, there was a lot of events going on like hoch, a hamburger street event. Location wise,its around 30-50 mins (depends on traffic) to get to east lake , yellow crane tower or the hubei provincial Museum on the other side of the city. It is easier to get to jianghan pedestrian street from here though. I gave it 4/5 only because of my own preference and because i found myself going to the east lake more for runs/cycles. But all locations have their own merits The hotel is also the very first 5 Star hotel in the city, from what i understand.
Full marks to the front desk, room service, and housekeeping. The room had a slight odor from accumulated dust, but the hotel provided an air purifier, which eliminated the unpleasant odor. Note that the hotel does not have a ceiling-mounted showerhead (overhead shower), only a handheld showerhead. This was not made clear to the front desk during booking. Overall, the price was reasonable, and the suite (1200 per night) came with a smart toilet, which was quite good.
