Polo Floatel - Kolkata

Polo Floatel is a hotel on a barge moored on the Hooghly River at the Strand Road jetties, next to Millennium Park and a short distance from the BBD Bagh office district. Rooms look out over the river and Howrah Bridge, and the property has a restaurant and bar on board. It is a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. It rates 4.2 from nearly 3,900 Google reviews. The riverfront promenade is pleasant at sunset. Kolkata's queer community is active, especially around the annual Rainbow Pride Walk, but public displays of affection still draw attention.
