Grand Slam is a gay bar on the ground floor of the Dai-Ni Shoei Kaikan building at 6-14 Doyama-cho. It is one of the few Doyama bars that actively courts foreign visitors: it has an English-language website, and Osaka's tourism bureau describes the crowd as largely international and East Asian. That makes it an easy first stop if you have never been to a Japanese gay bar. The bureau lists hours of 21:00 to 05:00, closed Sunday and Monday. Google reviewers rate it 4.6 from about 150 reviews. As elsewhere in Doyama, expect a cover or seat charge on top of drinks.
