Wiener Regenbogenparade — Ring Route

The Wiener Regenbogenparade, Vienna's Pride parade, has followed the Ringstraße around the Innere Stadt every June since 1996. The roughly 5 km loop passes the Staatsoper, Parliament, the Rathaus, the University and the Burgtheater. Organisers report attendance of around 300,000 in recent years, which puts it among Europe's larger Pride events. One detail people remember: the parade traditionally runs against the Ring's normal direction of traffic. For a good view, pick a spot near the Rathaus or Schwarzenbergplatz early.
