Les Étangs d'Apigné

Les Étangs d'Apigné are former gravel-pit lakes on the western edge of Rennes, used by locals for walking, swimming and picnics, with families around all summer. Outdoor cruising guides list the area, though we have not been able to confirm how active it is now. Public sex is a criminal offence in France (exhibition sexuelle, article 222-32 of the penal code). Keep valuables out of sight, tell someone where you are going, and treat it as a meeting point at most. For something legal and private, Rennes has two gay saunas, Carré Rouge and California.
