Budapest Pride (Rainbow Mission Foundation)

The Rainbow Mission Foundation (Szivárvány Misszió Alapítvány) is the non-profit that organises Budapest Pride. The march has taken place since 1997 and is Hungary's largest LGBTQ+ event. Each year the foundation runs a Pride festival of talks, films, cultural events and parties that ends with the march through central Budapest. In 2025 the government passed a law to ban Pride; the march still went ahead, co-organised with the city of Budapest, with record turnout.
