Tapassio is a charming Spanish tapas restaurant in Budapest with great food and a cozy atmosphere. Low, warm lighting, rustic wooden tables and colorful Spanish-style ceramic plates. Dishes are made for sharing, so plan on about three per person. We tried calamari, tuna tartare, octopus with potatoes, garlic shrimp, mussels, steak with mushroom sauce and crema catalana for dessert. Everything was flavorful and nicely presented. The highlight was the slow-cooked beef rib with green herb sauce, incredibly tender. Don't leave without ordering it! We paired it with a Hungarian wine, Kovács Nimród Battonage Chardonnay, which was excellent. High quality, but not cheap: the bill adds up quickly with the sharing format. A great choice for a special dinner in Budapest.
Tapassio was the best restaurant we visited during our trip to Hungary. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Even the ice cream was better than what we had at ice cream shops! A perfect meal that made our trip even more memorable.
Amazing service and very tasty tapas! What else can you ask for? You can easily tell that the staff has many years of experience in this sector and of course that the chef knows his way around the kitchen! The owners are also very friendly !
