Mono is a cramped gay bar on Via Lecco that turns a quiet aperitivo spot into a late‑night spill‑over scene. The door sits on a side street off Porta Venezia, the stretch that houses most of Milan’s gay bars. Inside, the décor is minimal and the vibe feels more like a living room than a club. From 18:00 the bar serves spritzes and Negronis with a handful of snacks, a typical Milanese aperitivo that draws a modest crowd. As the evening wears on, the music gets louder, the room fills, and the patrons start to spill onto the sidewalk—just as they do at the neighboring venues on Via Lecco and Via Melzo. Prices are surprisingly low for the city; a drink costs well under €8. Thursday through Saturday are the busiest nights, when people drift between Mono and the other nearby bars before heading to a club. Mono opens every day at 18:00 and shuts its doors around 2 am.

A completely authentic and welcoming experience! The staff was friendly and professional from the start: quick service, polite manners, and great availability. The cocktails were excellent, carefully prepared and well-balanced, and we were also very satisfied with the aperitif. The experience was absolutely positive, great music!
