Kalngale / Vecāķi Gay Beach

The coast between Vecāķi and Kalngale, north of Riga, has an official naturist beach. Gay men have long been reported to gather in the dunes at the northern end of it. Trains run from Riga to Vecāķi or Carnikava in about 20 to 25 minutes, and from the station you walk through the pine forest to the beach. It is a summer-only spot, and we have not confirmed current activity. There are no facilities, so bring water, food and shade. Nudity is accepted only within the naturist area. Respect naturist etiquette, and keep any sexual activity out of sight of other beachgoers.
