Botanic is a bar on Carrer de Muntaner in the Gaixample, opposite La Chapelle and Punto BCN. It is listed as gay-friendly but draws a largely gay crowd because of its location. True to its name, it has a plant-filled interior and terrace, and it is a place for drinks and talking rather than dancing. It opens at 19:00 and closes at 02:30, or 03:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Older descriptions call it a daytime café, but the current hours do not support that. Several Muntaner and Consell de Cent bars are within a few minutes' walk, so it fits easily into a bar crawl.
