Lovely hotel with plenty of space. 2nd Floor room was spacious and had a sea view. Gorgeous sunrise over the bay. Staff are very helpful, food plentiful. Enjoyed the spacious outside are around the pool. Plenty of sun loungers and fresh towels.
It's our fourth stay at Melia Ibiza (previously Sol Beach House) but our first at The Level. Is it worth the upgrade? It's a yes!! from us. Going to stick to The Level specifically for this review, as done several previously for the main hotel. The entrance to the seperate Level reception is round to the left of the main building. Our welcome was genuine, and check in reminiscent of a 5* hotel- comfy seats, glass of fizz & eveything explained personally- good start. Room- we had a Junior Suite Deluxe Sea view (all Level rooms are sea view). It was double the size of a standard room, with a super king bed facing out to the ocean. Our room type hadn't been refurbished in 2023/24 as many of the others but it isn't needed. Nothing 'extra' as such in the room, standard for a suite in a good 4* hotel- other details all on hotel website. Lounge- The level lounge offers drinks and snacks 11am-10pm and tapas 5-6pm. It's a help yourself service with staff cleaning and tidying to keep everything ready for the guests. See photos for daytime offerings. Rooftop pool- Only Level guests are now allowed here. Previously, all guests could use the area. Open from 11am daily, our experience was plenty of sunbeds a chilled atmosphere, perfect. The bar isn't included, but if you want an included drink, the lift will take you down to the lounge. Breakfast- This is where I think The Level excels. Beautiful inside and outside tables that offer a self service buffet and hot drinks machine- similar to the breakfast non Level side. There is also a table service menu, not extensive but you can ask for eggs any way in addition to the published options. There's a drinks service too- much nicer than the machines- English tea in a pot and a morning americano were our favourites. Any negatives? Not sure why the included drinks couldn't be at the rooftop bar as only Level guests can access it- but think standard for Melia. Would we stay at The Level again? Absolutely, booking for next year already.
Beautifully designed and furnished hotel with lovely helpful staff. Although the booking was for a junior suite with my daughter, on arrival the reception staff were aware of my walking problems and upgraded us to a ground floor suite close to reception with a sea view. Although our booking was Half Board we ate out most evenings as the Italian menu was very limited and not very appealing. Many guests had chosen to take the Level Restaurant option in another part of the hotel as they also didn't care for the Limited Italian menu, this of course added further cost to their holiday. We have been holidaying in Ibiza for nearly 40 years staying in many sea front and high end hotels, The Melia’s plus points were: Beautifully designed interior everywhere Excellent attentive staff Lovely suite with heavenly bed comfort First class housekeeping service to suite Large terrace with sea view Exceptionally clean hotel throughout points I didn’t like The evening dinner options Voile curtain only screening bathroom from bedroom -no privacy Shower was style over practicability Cramped beverage area in bedroom /unnecessary coffee machine Breakfast buffet was poor quality and many items not fresh I wouldn’t stay at the Melia in future as it doesn’t meet my expectations.
We stayed at the hotel in a Level Seaview room for 4 nights the 1st week of October and were really impressed with the hotel and exceptional service from the staff, which really makes the overall experience very special and memorable. The room was modern and has everything you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. What’s makes the room is the view which is breathtaking. The Level area is equally beautiful and a really lovely area to spend time in. A couple of points that could be reviewed. Level access drinks should be included by the rooftop pool and snacks could be provided longer during the day. Overall I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a relaxing holiday in Ibiza.
This is an older hotel which has been improved and extended. We were in the red level rooms for a week. It was very enjoyable, the room was lovely and comfortable with a fabulous room. On breakfast only the food was good, with variety & a mix of self and served options. I f you want decafe tea and coffee, you have to ask and check you have been served it. Used the roof restaurant on night one, lovely outlook and a stylish experience. The rooftop pool was not to our personal liking so we used the main pool, which was good. If you are looking for a big pool area with a mixture of patio & garden this isn’t the best. In red level the happy hour with free bar and nibbles is just the ticket and very popular. The music in the main bar on the night we went in wasn’t inspiring, which was reflected by its lack of customers. Good hotel, enjoyed the week.
A fabulous adults only hotel in a great location overlooking the sea. The Melia hotels never disappoint and this was no exception. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and we were delighted by our surprise upgrade to The Level on our arrival. We would definitely recommend The Level as an upgrade, the room was very spacious with a living room area and a pool/sea view. The designated reception and breakfast area is very nice with plentiful complimentary snacks and drinks thought the day. Our only slight criticism is that the table service at breakfast was a bit hit and miss at times and the tables weren't cleared as often as they could have been. Unfortunately the weather was disappointing during our short stay but the upgrade definitely helped! Thank you 🙂
Excellent hotel about a 20 minute stroll into the centre of Santa Eularia. We stayed in a Level Junior Suite Deluxe Sea View which was very spacious with a large balcony with an excellent view over the sea. The room was modern and really well-furnished with a large day bed on the balcony. The Level area provided a great space for drinks and snacks throughout the day and also for breakfast. The private Level-only rooftop pool area on the 5th floor was a great place to spend the day sunbathing and enjoying amazing views over the sea. The only downside was that there is only a single elevator connecting the Level lounge on the ground floor to the bedroom floors and rooftop pool area and this often meant waiting for quite a time particularly at busy times. The staff were all very attentive and helpful which made the stay a fantastic experience, although the pressure from the Melia Circle staff to attend presentations on their Melia Club can get a little annoying.
Our first time at this hotel. We are frequent visitors to Melia hotels and chose this one for its location and the availability of The Level. Our sea view suite was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Plenty of storage space which is not always the case. We used the Level Rooftop the whole week of our stay and were always able to find sunbeds despite the 10.00 am rush when to Rooftop opens. Not sure why it can't open earlier to maximise the sunshine hours? You can wait a long time for the single [small] lift to and from the Rooftop so it's a pity that the drinks that are part of the all day Level offering can't be available at the Rooftop pool area too for Level guests. Overall from the check in to check out we had a positive and enjoyable stay and would return.
The location is fantastic, the rooms are lovely, and the hotel is very clean. This was our fifth visit and our second since the hotel was rebranded as Meliá, having previously been Sol Beach House. We loved our earlier stays, particularly the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent Level facilities, and spacious rooftop pool. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The Level Lounge now offers a much more limited selection of wines and beers, and the rooftop pool area felt overcrowded, with too many sun loungers and tables making it difficult to move around safely. There was also only one smoking area, located at the far end of the pool. The overcrowding led to a serious accident when my husband knocked into a sunbed and badly cut his leg. As he is on blood thinners, this was particularly concerning, as he was bleeding quite badly. Staff assistance was poor: I had to ask the barman for help, and he seemed unsure what to do, eventually calling the lifeguard from the main pool. When a manager arrived, he appeared more concerned about the sunbed than my husband’s injury. No one followed up afterwards to check on him. The staff were generally much less friendly and welcoming than on previous visits, although the housekeeping team were excellent. Day passes also allowed non-residents to use the facilities, including a group of guests who were drinking heavily, very rowdy and consuming alcohol in the pool. Nobody stopped them, despite the fact that smoking is only permitted in one designated area at the far end of the pool, away from the main pool area. This further affected the atmosphere and made the rooftop area feel even less relaxing. It is a real shame, as we have always loved this hotel, but the changes and poor service have left us very disappointed. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
We enjoyed our stay overall, but there were a number of areas that really let the hotel down. The service in the restaurant was very poor and could have been much better. The pool area also needs attention. The entrance and exit to the pool could be much safer, particularly as there were quite a few elderly guests who needed assistance getting in and out. The pool loungers were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on, and the cushions were very tired and desperately in need of replacing. Another major concern was the umbrellas on the terrace. On two occasions, an umbrella blew off the terrace and landed on people sitting below. This was extremely dangerous and something that really needs to be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt. Overall, we enjoyed parts of our holiday, but these issues did detract from our experience. With better service and some much-needed improvements to the pool and terrace areas, the hotel could offer a considerably better experience.
