Kaos GL

Kaos GL is an LGBTI+ rights organisation in Ankara. It started in 1994 as a magazine and became Turkey's first legally registered LGBT association in 2005. Today it runs the kaosgl.org news portal, publishes research and human-rights reports, does anti-discrimination advocacy, and organises an annual international meeting against discrimination. Its office is on the sixth floor at GMK Bulvarı 29 in Kızılay. It is an office, not a social space, so contact it by phone (+90 312 230 03 58) or through the website before visiting. Ankara's governor has banned LGBTI+ public events in the past, and Pride marches across Turkey are routinely blocked.
