Great view over the city. Wow, the tower and the path are quite high and narrow.
Incredible views, very narrow stairs to climb but it's worth it
So much fun! Beautiful scenery!
It’s a free way of getting a great view of Bristol. There is no lift so not wheelchair accessible. The stairs do narrow on the last bit to the top. As you get about 4/5 of the way and can stop before it gets really narrow.
Whole of Bristol under my eyes!
Free, nice climb. Good view.
Great view
Great view from the top when clear sky
Being able to climb these historic stairs for free and admire the 360° view of the city is a blessing. It's amazing...you have to take advantage of it! The flowerbeds are superb.
The view is okay. Just be careful climbing it, because the steps are short and there is two way traffic. Claustrophobic people don’t go up
A lovely place to get 360 degree view of Bristol, best city view.
The top of the tower has two tiers both allowing fantastic Panoramic views across Bristol including: Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge and S S Great Britain; Bristol Harbourside, Bristol University Buildings, the Catholic Cathedral and Christ Church, Clifton. It is best to visit the tower at quiet time as the stairs are narrow so you cannot pass easily and also allows you a relaxed time at the top.
A nice tower with free admission to the top view the whole city. The stairs are narrow, only allowing one way up or down. You need to be patient and carefully walking up or down. 🕊️
Bristol's oldest park!We love this place.. Free to visit with paths and benches to sit! From the top of the tower you can see the city of Bristol.
Amazing - just so so beautiful! Felt privileged to be there. Paths lined with majestic trees and an active lake with ducks and swans. A small island in the middle where you can see squirrels, birds and other rodents wondering about. Play area was good for the kids and there was also a skate park and a small basketball court. I haven't visited much in the past but my rediscovery during the recent lockdown walks made me wish I had!!
This is a beautiful green area for all to enjoy. We saw families with small children and people out with their pets. This is a great place for a picnic with friends and/or loved ones. There is plenty of grass and benches for one to rest and enjoy the area. There is no entry fee. The Cabot Tower is there, so this is an added bonus. It is hilly, so perhaps not ideal for a stroll, but you can make that call. We spent time here and enjoyed it.
Beware!! Karen’s Everywhere!! I encountered 3 Karen’s within 24hrs at this place in just 2 visits walking though it, minding my own business.
Beautiful scenery. Not for the unfit though. Very steep hills with lovely views. There are lots of benches to sit down for breaks of needed.
A lovely green space which provides good views of the city below. Plenty of seats and friendly, well-behaved dogs with their owners. Beautiful lilly pond too.
Brandon Hill is the oldest park in Bristol. It’s just about the most hilly park I can remember walking in, but it does mean climbing to the summit means you can enjoy great views over the city and Harbourside area. Also at the summit is Cabot Tower, a monument to John Cabot who set sail from Bristol centuries ago on his voyages of discovery.
Tarmac paths lead you to the top and Cabot Tower, unfortunately it was closed, permanently? Plenty of benches to take a breather on with good views around the city.
A hilly park with tarmac walkways, the height gives it good vies around Bristol. Plenty of benches for resting when needed.
The views from the top by Cabot Tower are amazing. Its such a shame it wasn't open so that we could climb even higher. Well kept grounds. Very peaceful
