Gay Bars & Clubs in Green Bay
Green Bay is best known for the Packers, but Wisconsin's third-largest metro also keeps a small, resilient LGBTQ+ nightlife scene alive. It is compact — a handful of venues rather than a whole district — yet the bars here are genuine community anchors, and a couple of them have served queer Green Bay for decades.
Where to Find the Scene
There is no single gay street in Green Bay. The bars cluster in and around downtown — mostly along Main Street and Cedar Street, an easy ride-share hop apart — so you can pair a couple of them in one night. They sit among the city's other bars and restaurants, part of the everyday social fabric rather than tucked away.
Green Bay's LGBTQ+ Bars
Napalese Lounge & Grille
Napalese, at 1351 Cedar Street, is the cornerstone of gay Green Bay and one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ bars in Wisconsin, open since the early 1980s. It is more than a place for a drink: the staff are warm, there is a full grille kitchen, and the calendar is stacked with drag shows and themed nights. Dinner, drinks and a show in one welcoming room — it is the first stop most locals will point you to.
XS Nightclub
XS Nightclub, 1106 Main Street, is Green Bay's main LGBTQ+ dance club — a two-floor space that has anchored the city's queer nightlife for years. Expect DJs, a proper dance floor and a livelier, higher-energy crowd than the neighborhood bars, especially at weekends. If you actually want to dance, this is where the night ends up.
The Roundabout Bar
The Roundabout, 1264 Main Street, has been an LGBTQ+ bar since 2013 and rounds out the trio. It leans into the friendly-neighborhood feel with karaoke, DJs, trivia and drink specials through the week — an easy, unpretentious spot to start the night or settle in close to XS.
Beyond the Bars
Green Bay has no gay bathhouse or sauna — the nearest are a few hours south. The wider community connects through Northeast Wisconsin's LGBTQ+ organizations, including N.E.W. Pride Alive and Positive Voice, and turns out each June for Green Bay Pride along the Fox River.
