Short answer: there are no gay saunas in Puerto Princesa. Earlier listings, including a previous version of this page, called several local massage spas "gay saunas". They aren't, and we have removed them. If a gay sauna is part of your plans, it's a Manila thing.

Legal in one line: same-sex relations are legal in the Philippines; there is no marriage or civil union, and Puerto Princesa's City Ordinance No. 657 (2015) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

What the "saunas" on old lists really are

    • W Spa and Sauna (North Highway, Tiniguiban, opposite Robinsons Place): a Korean-style family spa with separate male and female sauna rooms and couples' and family massage rooms, according to Palawan News and its own listings. It is a mainstream spa.
    • Spa Navi, Mulan's, Hilom, Amacan and Exzel: ordinary massage and wellness spas. None presents itself as gay or appears in any gay guide we checked.

All of them are legitimate businesses for a massage after a day on a boat. Just don't expect a gay sauna.

Where the nearest gay saunas are

Metro Manila has the Philippines' gay saunas, including Club Bath in Pasay, near the airport you'll probably connect through. Check each city's saunas page before you go, as Manila venues open and close often.

Cruising

We found no documented cruising area in Puerto Princesa on any cruising site or forum, and we don't list one. Dating apps are how most men meet here; meet somewhere public first.

Sexual health

The City Health Office's Social Hygiene Clinic offers free HIV testing Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Tandikan Puerto Princesa, an LGBTQIA-led non-profit, runs testing drives with Roots of Health.
