Hotel Bosque de Reñaca

I stayed one night (Sunday to Monday) and the experience was quite disappointing for the price. The room had a very small window and the air conditioning was locked at a fixed temperature that was never specified, so it was impossible to cool the room. Furthermore, the "double bed" we were supposed to have was actually two single beds pushed together. When we complained about both problems, the staff's response was simply that "that's what we had," and that the air conditioning was a decision made by management, without offering any room change or alternative solution. In addition, the room had a tea/coffee set with a kettle and two cups, and one of them was dirty, with dried-out tea leaves (photo attached). The breakfast was also quite mediocre: little variety and nothing noteworthy. I attended the last breakfast period (45 minutes) and I don't know if that's why, but there was no replenishment: the trays were almost empty, with barely a couple of pieces of cake, and the fruit looked soggy and like it had been served for quite some time without being replaced. The only redeeming feature was the spa: the massage was truly excellent. However, the water circuit was quite limited and the water had a high chlorine content. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. Good location and a good massage, but the rest leaves much to be desired. Perhaps book the spa services, but stay somewhere else.

The hotel is very nice with a good atmosphere, and the spa is also very good. I only have two things to mention that they don't tell you before booking: the "double" beds aren't double beds, they're two single beds pushed together, so they shouldn't call them double beds or at least warn you about this. Also, the air conditioning doesn't allow you to lower the room temperature... which makes no sense. My partner and I were very hot in the room, and the air conditioning is locked to not allow you to set a lower temperature than the room's current temperature. It does allow you to set a higher temperature, but not a lower one. We called reception, and their explanation and response weren't very helpful. While the services are very good, there are points that should be clarified before booking, or at least they should warn you that the beds aren't double and that the air conditioning, which should be able to cool the room, doesn't work. The only solution they gave us was to "open the window." I feel that the price doesn't justify the condition of the room.

Excellent service. The breakfast buffet needs improvement!

Quick check-in and good staff service, good location in relation to the center of Reñaca. Clean facilities. And a nice green area. Area for improvement: parking.
