COMCAVIS TRANS

COMCAVIS TRANS is a human rights organisation in San Salvador founded by trans activist Karla Avelar. It documents violence against LGBTIQ+ people, works on HIV response and supports people displaced by violence, including those seeking protection abroad. It is an advocacy group, not a visitor venue, and there is no public address in our data. Contact goes through comcavis.org.sv. El Salvador has no legal gender recognition or anti-discrimination protections, and the government ordered gender-identity material removed from public schools in 2024.
