Hotel Criol

We had a good stay. The hotel is lovely, with a few rooms, a beautiful library, and nice touches. The staff was always excellent in all areas, and it's well located. Unfortunately, on September 11th, we had a terrible night. There was a lot of noise until 3:00 AM. Some guests were laughing loudly, it sounded like they were moving furniture, and they emptied the jacuzzi in the middle of the night. We could hear everything, and we couldn't sleep. It was awful. We spoke to the reception staff, and their response was that they had a painter's family staying there for an exhibition, which is why there was noise. 😕🤨 This ruined our night. The hotel management should pay attention to these details to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests without showing favoritism or discrimination.

A spectacular experience at Hotel Criol Boutique, right in the heart of Querétaro's Historic Center. The building's restoration and architectural design are truly extraordinary; every space reflects exquisite taste, a keen eye for detail, and a perfect blend of the place's historical essence and contemporary design. The service is wonderful: warm, attentive, and professional, making the stay even more special. Furthermore, the food is of excellent quality and perfectly complements the experience. Without a doubt, a hotel with personality, charm, and impeccable taste. A magnificent option for lodging and enjoying the heart of Querétaro. Highly recommended, and I can't wait to return!

Unfortunately, I didn't get the experience I was promised at Criol. Upon arrival, you see a fantastic hotel with spectacular architecture. However, you soon realize the parking is a kilometer away. Despite that, we walked since it's located in the heart of Querétaro. When we got to the room, it was also very nice, but the TV didn't work properly. I had to get up to change the channel, turn it up, or turn it off. And speaking of volume, it wouldn't go above 15. To top it all off, I got tired of messing with the TV and decided to go to sleep. I've never in my life heard such a noisy bed. I lay down and it creaked horribly, I turned over and it creaked, I stood up and it creaked. I had a terrible night in this hotel. And to top it all off, I took a shower. The water came out boiling hot for two seconds and then ice cold, even though the single-lever mixer tap was set to hot.

We arrived when it was rainy and a little gloomy…but that was not the reception we received. The staff was SO lovely, especially Emi and his coworker that sent us off with most heartfelt goodbye. Thank you!

I am a seasoned travel professional and Hotel Criol has my heart. It’s beautiful and comfortable aesthetic, central location and relaxing outdoor spaces, including their cozy library, keep me coming back year after year. I have been here with my dad, my daughter, friends and this year, my husband. All wonderful experiences I will continue to cherish. The only suggestions I would make is to make the beds a little more comfortable, include a full size mirror in the rooms and provide better lighting for make up in the bathrooms. The hotel is beautiful, the location is excellent, and it's very comfortable; it's totally worth it. Its architecture is incredible, especially the library.

The hotel is nice and in a great location near convenience stores, several delicious restaurants and town plazas for shopping, people watching, etc. The rooms are clean and there’s some nice areas to sit outside and relax. There’s even a pool! And the staff is very nice and helpful. I’d be happy to return here!
