Hotel Heron Old Town Alexandria, Curio Collection by Hilton

We absolutely loved Hotel Heron. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect for exploring Old Town, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly. Amari deserves a special shoutout. She was so kind and went way above and beyond for us. She heard we were celebrating our anniversary and surprised us when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. We also had a small issue with our room being a little too warm and she immediately took care of it and moved us to what had to be the coldest room in the hotel. She was just genuinely pleasant and helpful every time we saw her. Honestly, everyone we interacted with was great. It’s a beautiful hotel, but the people are what made the stay. Also, if you’re staying here, walk around the corner to Josephine for dinner and ask to sit in the atrium room. You won’t regret it. We loved our time in Alexandria and would absolutely stay at Hotel Heron again.

For how much you’re paying.. amazing you don’t get breakfast and there is no hot water either of the mornings I showered. Everything was clean and up to date.

We stayed here for our wedding, as did many of our guests. We had a wonderful experience. Staff were helpful, the rooms and spaces are beautifully curated, dinner at Kiln was delicious, and the rooftop was the perfect place for our welcome event. The only downside wad the valet parking - it took an extremely long time to drop off and pick up our car. This may have been due to understaffing, but I would encourage the hotel to work this process out. Thanks so much, we look forward to returning!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional service from Mr. Cash at The Herron Hotel! Mr. Cash was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. His kindness and genuine hospitality truly stood out and made our stay even more special. Staff like Mr. Cash are what make a hotel experience memorable. The Herron Hotel is very fortunate to have him on their team! Thank you, Mr. Cash, for making our stay so wonderful! You are truly exceptional! ❤️✨🇺🇸 Dr Gary & Ceci Young

*EDIT* After visiting a few other hotels in the area we find although this hotel is "pet friendly" the common areas and bars/restaurants are not very pet accommodating. They could do alot better to allow well behaved pets that are staying at the hotel to be allowed.

I went to the rooftop bar and I was very impressed! Great food, great drinks and service was astounding! Our server Sabrina took great care of us as well - wonderful recommendations!! Great ambiance and even better service!

Conor crushed it, such a great guy. So glad to meet him and have some great suggestion for how to experience Od Towne. We’ll be back soon!

Stayed here for a night for work and will always stay here when I return. Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms, and the location is perfect.

Great great Hotel but service at restaurant could be better. I had to stay in their George Washington Building that was across their main building. We had alot alot of luggage as my goddaughter was attending a school nearby. This young man Michael H who had the glasses at the front desk walked us to our rooms and I couldn't believe it but he took all our bags and luggages to our room. I'm sure he hurt his wrist; we had alot of heavy stuff but he wouldn't take our tip and refused it. I just wanted to mention him and his excellent service. What a great young man, a great example to my grandsons; reminded me of when I was in college busting my butt off.

Rooms in the main building are nice and have always been very clean. Staff is very friendly and any time there is an issue, they’re responsive.
